Gilliland Captures Big Win In East-West Combo Race

•BMR Scores Third Consecutive Victory At Iowa NEWTON, Iowa (July 29, 2016) – Rookie Todd Gilliland captured one of the biggest wins of his young career with a victory in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East-West combination race at Iowa Speedway on Friday. It marked the fourth win in the first eight K&N West races this season for the Sherrills Ford, North Carolina 16-year-old who drives the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry for Bill McAnally Racing. It also marked BMR’s sixth win this year and the team’s third consecutive victory in East-West combination events at the 7/8-mile track in Newton, Iowa. Gilliland had turned the second quickest lap overall in qualifying, which as the fastest K&N West driver earned him his fourth pole of the season. • Eggleston Also Battles Back In K&N Pro Series West Race POST FALLS, Idaho (July 9, 2016) – Race fans at Stateline Speedway witnessed one of the closest finishes in the history of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West as Todd Gilliland won the Toyota / NAPA AUTO PARTS 150 by inches over Noah Gragson on Saturday night. Gilliland crossed the finish line in the Bill McAnally Racing No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry with a margin of victory of just .004 seconds to clinch his third victory of the season and the fifth win by BMR in the first seven races of 2016. The 16-year-old rookie from Sherrills Ford, North Carolina – a member of the NASCAR Next program that spotlights NASCAR’s rising stars – faced plenty of drama in just getting in a position to challenge for the win on the quarter-mile oval.
